Additional settings if the connection failed

Please note that the connection to cardclan.io can fail to succeed. You will need to enable two-step verification and create an app password:

1. Set up 2-Step Authentication in Outlook

Setting up two-step verification is a reasonable way to keep your account secure. Besides, it will help avoid difficulties with the connection.

To set up 2-Step Authentication, follow the instructions:

Step 1. Go to Security settings and sign in with your Microsoft account.

Step 2. In the Two-step verification section, choose Set up two-step verification to turn it on.

2. Setting up an app password

An app password is a password generated in a random way that you provide only once instead of your regular password while signing in to an app or device that doesn’t support two-step verification.

To create an app password, take the following steps:

Step 1. Navigate to Security settings and sign in with your Microsoft account.

Step 2. In the App passwords section, choose to Create a new app password.

Step 3. Copy the generated app password.

Step 4. Enter the generated app password instead of your regular password to the Outlook email account while setting up the email in the CardClan email settings.
